  Abromeit was a highly-ranked athlete when she was sixteen years old, was awarded the scholarship of Duke University in Durham (North Carolina) in North Carolina, for her sixth-place finish in junior tennis in the United States. After graduating from Duke University, Abromeit fell in love both with music and acting, so she chose to pursue a career in the area.
